Thank you, Aida & Pam for the birthday wishes! I did stop stitching on bindings long enough last night to enjoy a great birthday dinner of lobster, mussels, shrimp & scallops on pasta at our local seafood restaurant with friends. DH generously presented me with Black Hills Gold dragonfly earrings for the occasion. One glass of champagne and I was asleep!
I'm back to stitching today (while watching golf from Tucson). I've completed "Quilted Glory" and "Moonlit Cranes" and now working on "Clematis." Next will be "Fishbowls in the Library", "Dragonfly Dance", "Yellow Roses on the Barn", and "Rock Collection!" "Fried Egg Flowers and Funky Butterflies" is still at the long arm quilters', along with "Walk on the Wild Side." I got into this hole by procrastinating on quilt finishing! Learn from my misery ladies! hee-hee.

Comment by Carol Ann Hinton on February 26, 2013 at 7:10am Thank you all for the birthday wishes. Yes, Marnie, it was the 23rd! It fell on Saturday this year; perfect for going out. Yummy indeed, Irene, they are beautiful and very delicate. He knows the dragonfly is sort of my 'totem', and I love all things dragonfly!
p.s. I'm still stitching bindings!
Comment by Irene Gallway on February 26, 2013 at 4:31am Belated Happy Birthday Carol. Your birthday dinner sounds so yummie. I love seafood. I also love Black Hills Gold. I bet the earrings are beautiful.
Happy Birthday Carol! was it the 23rd? My DD turned 40 on the 23rd...hmm How did that happen? Sounds like you had a wonderful birthday !
Comment by Cindy on February 25, 2013 at 11:20pm A belated Happy Birthday from me as well, Carol. I missed being on line for a bit (those nasty cyber bugs put me out of commission for a bit - but all is cleaned and working top notch again). Anyways, sounds like you had a wonderful day and I wish you many more.
Happy birthday Carol. I am glad that you had a great day.
Comment by Debbie Snyder/WA on February 25, 2013 at 6:29am Happy Birthday, a little late. Sounds like you and your hubby know how to celebrate...restaurant?, lobster?, champagne?? Jewelry??? NICE! With all that you have going on, do you sleep? lol We'll have to keep you in training on the procrastinating thing. ☺ Pretty soon you'll be just like the rest of us and have a gazillion UFO's. It's all part of a quilter life.
Comment by Joanna liguz on February 25, 2013 at 4:52am Happy Birthday to you,,Happy Birthday to you,,,Happy birthday Dear,,,,Carol....Happy Birthday to you....
Keep the good work going...Hugs...
Comment by Mary, Tewksbury MA on February 25, 2013 at 4:32am Happy Belated Birthday- hope it was enjoyable. You're really on a roll finishing those quilts. Binding is my downfall. I know I can't use quilt until it's done but still takes me forever to get started, all my UFOs just need binding. Once I decide to start I move right along, but really need to work on that start time.
Comment by Barbara Graham on February 24, 2013 at 4:04pm Happy Birthday--a little late. I'm sorry about that. It sounds like you are getting your bindings done in spite of the celebrating! I can't wait to see the quilts with such interesting names.
Comment by Carol Ann Hinton on February 24, 2013 at 3:29pm Yes, photos will be forthcoming and I'll be happy to share; I have to have photos for the show quilts (whole quilt and detail) anyway, but just HAVE TO KEEP STITCHING NOW. LOL
