Quilt With Us

Ok I've been sewing fan pieces together for the last couple of hours and it is time for a break. I'm working on a replacement quilt for my bed. I hope this quilt last longer than the one on the bed. Wait a minute. the one on the bed has been there for 20 some years. Ok it's only the last couple of years and the three yorkies that have kind of torn it up with their scratching for a softer spot to lay on. I've cut pieces to repair the damaged quilt but I can't work on it while I'm still using it!!

I've been giving my customers warnings at work that I would be on vacation next week, I promised them that I would. Last year when I went on vacation my coworkers that covered my early morning shift apparently don't know how to run on auto pilot, I'm never awake at 5:30am when the doors open, everyone knows that and they leave me alone, well that and the wall between me and the customers helps sence I work alone at that hour of the morning.

So having unloaded all of that on all of you, I'm hoping to get the fan quilt top finished next week and start quilting it. Take note of the word hoping, mom has a few doctor appointments next week and with her doctors that could take hours just to get into the exam room.... maybe I should take up a different hobby, one that I can do while sitting in the doctors office.

Hope you get a lot of time to sew. EPP or embroidery projects are great while waiting, or sewing the binding down. I'm sure you'll come up with something, but in any case -- have a great vacation week, sewing/relaxing/eating chocolates...

LOL Does this require the purchase of more materials and tools. :) On second thought is it something I can hide in the car. Lord knows I get enough crap from the BF everytime we go somewhere in my car. What are you doing with all these quilting books in the car and what is in all those boxes??? Where did those boxes come from and how much did it cost me are the typical questions I get everytime he sees my car.
