Quilt With Us

Just finished up my niece's bridal shower gift this afternoon/evening. Just in time, because the shower is Saturday. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. The white fabric has tonal snowflakes that catch the light. The ice blue is a Fairy Frost fabric. The outer border is white with silvery airbrushed-like snowflakes. I'm not all that "into" sparkly, but I think she'll like it and it was a good way to use up some unusual fat quarters. I really drug my feet on whether or not to turn it into a wedding sampler with their names and the date on it, but in the end, decided to go ahead and do that.

I didn't have a pattern to go by, but it is my version of the "Taco Salad" table topper on ranchmom's page. I can't remember who authored the original pattern, sorry. I've made a couple of these. They are quick and easy and work well as gifts.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone & happy quilting!

Oh Prairie Quilter I like this one the best, it is great what a wonderful shower gift. The pattern is from the "Lets Do Lunch" book by Terry Atkinson. It is a great book with a lot of easy projects that are great for gifts.

Absolutely gorgeous! At least you were not still finishing the binding on your way to the shower as some people would have been! LOL

Prairie Quilter, you do leave things to the last minute but it is beautiful. Now that it is done, you can enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner and be thankful that the bridal shower gift is done!! Happy Thanksgiving!
