I haven't been doing much quilting lately, but have been busy sewing. I posted pics of the feedbag tote bags I make and I have now opened an ETSY store to sell them. There has been some good traffic there and lots of nice comments about the bags. Of course, my family gives me lots of feedback and support. At the present time I have the 4-H club kids and families saving me all their feedbags that have really neat images on them and I have also connected with a lady who raises rabbits and a neighbor who raises pigs, and I have a ton of horse, pig and bird feedbags. Still planning on contacting some kennels to get some different dog and cat feedbags.
Remember when our mothers and grandmothers used flour sacks to make aprons, dish towels and even clothing? Seems like our daughters are catching on! I heard of a lady who is using the show pig feedbags to make her daughter a prom dress! I can't wait to see the photo!
Anyway, I would love to have you visit my ETSY store and also my blog. Leave a comment at the blog so that I can see that you have visited!
Back to the quilting...I did manage to purchase fabric for the quilt I will be making for the next granddaughter's graduation. I think I am going to use the same pattern I used for Vanessa's quilt. Also, the monies I make on the tote bags will be donated to our 4-H club for our annual fundraiser. These monies help pay for awards and training trips, etc.
I hope everyone is keeping busy and staying in good health.
