I haven't posted since July. It has been a crazy time around here. I have connected with a grade school friend on Facebook and she asked me to make memory quilts from her mothers clothing. It had been a year since her mother's passing and she was ready to make family memory quilts. I started off with 4 baby quilts, then 7 lap quilts (KU, KSU and Chiefs themes were three she wanted for sure). I am glad I made them for her even if she cried when she saw them. She will have such wonderful memories seeing her mom's clothing incorporated in the quilt. Kind of like having her mom's arms wrapped around whoever has the quilt.
I then threw in another customer's order for a Red Barn Quilt, along with a Cabin Fever quilt I donated for the United Way Silent Auction at work. On top of that I made two more baby quilts and I think that's it. Oh no, one more which is a dragonfly quilt for our niece. I hope to get it loaded on the longarm today. I will post all of the photos in my pictures. I believe do like this Red Barn quilt the best. It may be awhile before I come out of the sewing room though because I have one more Chiefs themed memory quilt to make by Dec 14th, a Indian panel quilt to whip up for my mom's neighbor and a quilt for my niece because she sends us her boys outgrown clothing for my grandkiddos.
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
