Quilt With Us

This has been a busy week.  I don't know if it's the cooler air or the fact that I'm feeling better but I have been like the Energizer Bunny all week.  Two days I worked in my sewing room.  I organized my fabrics which was a big job in itself and then I took at all the draws. I found things I didn't know I have.  I also found things that I pitched in the trash.  I have had a drawer full of paint for years. I use to use it, but for the life of me I can't remember what I was using it for.  I think I dabbled in tole painting but apparently didn't do to good with it since I have nothing to show for my effort.  I threw the paint out. It was in "solid" form.  I have managed to get some sewing done this week. After I got everything organized.  I have a baby quilt done except for putting the binding on. My sewing club is working on children's quilts for Hospice terminally ill children.  I have a sewing machine cover half done for a client.  So many project and so little time.  And there is a dozen projects waiting in line to be started.  I wish I could work as fast as my mind puts out  ideas of things I want to make.  I'm hoping to get some pictures on this computer.  I have been having a problem posting pictures.

Sounds familiar!  The cooler weather has me more energized as well.  But, I am so glad you are feeling better!  I did some quick organizing in my sewing room tonight, so I could start quilting a baby quilt I want to finish before I start on Christmas gifts.  I really have to start getting out things for one project at a time so supplies don't start piling up in a corner again.  It is so much easier for me to stay focused if I keep organized.

Maryam, I miss our chats as well. Hope to meet up with you soon on chat.  I'm with you Pam on enjoying sewing more when I have a clean space to work. I hate "hunting" for things in the midst of clutter.  Barbara, I'm glad you have some dried paint too.  It don't make me feel so bad now. lol  I have some projects in the making PQ and have been working on them since I gave the room a good cleaning and purging.

You have been busy!  So glad you are feeling better and are getting to do some fun things now that the cleaning/purging/organizing is behind you.

I'm so happy your energy is back! As for the dried paint, I think I have some too. Maybe you'll inspire me to do some badly needed fall cleanup. Right now I'm in shock from finding three small to medium partially done quilt tops. I'm pretty sure one is 20 years old and the newest is probably 5. Gads, I'll bet I used the rest of their fabric bits in another project. Memory loss or idiocy?

It must be the cooler weather...I've had the cleaning/organizing bug! I can't sew if the room is crazy. We went to the apple orchard today and got some Macs...beautiful sunny day with the trees changing was a nice break. We have been emptying flower crocks and putting things away here at the lake. Usually, it is cold and damp when we get it done. Funny how that calendar is the same every year....it is going to snow so pay attention!!! Taking a trip to Canada next week for an overnight conference...should be a pretty drive.
