Quilt With Us

Good morning-

I hope everyone is busy getting those holiday projects finished! BUT...let's take the time to post a message! We are a wonderful group of ladies and gents who share a passion. QWU has given us a site to share and make new friends. We don't want to lose this site...apathy has done that to many. I was off the site for a few months, but am so glad to be reunited with friends near and far.

So, ladies and gents let's hear from you...It doesn't have to be all about quilting, we're a community of laughs and experiences!

Question???

If, you're the baker of cookies...one breaks... it's yours not the kids or grandkids..right?

Have a great day

If it wasn't for the people on here,, I probably would be a basket case, some friends have seen me thru some depression of my life. and exciting times too...even when you don't say too much it still says you care.....ALOT.!

We are a community of quilters, Stitchers, weavers, and any kind of fiber you can name...and we all enjoy our passion but we still have time to connect with each other..regardless of our own troubles...I am thankful to everyone who post and comment on my page...and esp..when you share the patterns and send them with out complaining...that a true friend,,,and the kicker is............Most of us have never meet...Now that a true friend.! That's all I have to say.!

I'm with you Pam concerning this site. The people on here are talented and fun. Like you said it doesn't have to be just about quilting. I felt supported when I lost my sister and Bud. And I felt your support when I used Bud's hair clippers to cut a rug. You must remember that story, lol  We are a family in Cyber space. I'm glad you posted this.

I'm not sure my grandkids would even notice if the cookie was broken!

I am doing my best to finish quilting another Christmas quilt.  I want to hang this one behind my sofa.

It is finally starting to feel like winter weather here in Mid-Missouri.  In fact, our mailman rang our doorbell today to let us know the faucet in the front of the house had sprung a leak.  Fortunately, it was just a plastic thing you hook a hose to.  That was a huge relief.

Kathy, i’m Sorry to hear you’ve lost your mojo since you lost your mother. We lost three people this summer unexpectedly. It threw me... but realize now, that maybe if I would’ve shared it on site, everyone would’ve help talk you through it. You are such a fabulous quilter with your original designs, you have to try to regenerate that passion. We all have our pace to do things. Kiss those grandsons!

Pam, that is the number 1 rule of baking!  It is also the best way to maintain quality control.  We can't be giving away cookies that have not been thoroughly checked for flavor and texture.

I am so guilty of not posting much, but still enjoying everyone else's posts.  I'll try to work on that.  Sometimes life's little hiccups slow us down, but I do believe this forum is worth putting some extra effort into.

Absolutely - you wouldn't want anyone else to have to eat the broken ones, right?  Someone has to make the sacrifice. ;)

Pam, you put it right. I do miss all the ones who use to be on here. BJ and Debbie with all the stories they told when quilting and traveling and many more. I haven't posted for a few years and don't know why, because I really love this site and reading about everyone else's quilts and stories. Guess, I'll just have to step up. My quilting projects are done for Christmas. Also made, 2 dog coats and a dog bed with the many little scraps, thread or whatever went in the bag to throw away. It turned out great for my son's little Chipoo.
