Quilt With Us

Until I can get these ocular migraines under control and, hopefully, the visual disturbances that seem to go with them, I am only able to doodle and sketch rather than sew. Haven't sketched in a long while and the two posted below were faces that came out of dreams. Not sure what to make of it, if anything. Any how, they are what they are. Think I will look into seeing if there are any art classes around that deal in drawing people. I have been doing the doodles freehand with an ink brush and no preliminary penciling. My DH says that the eyes are very expressive. It's a start to try to get the creative juices flowing and as a way of calming the mind. We will be attending my 97 year old MIL's funeral on Saturday and the sketching seems to help with the upheaval we are currently experiencing.

The above sketch was done yesterday. The one below was completed today.

Think I like the first girl better. Hard to sketch dreams!

These pics are really awesome.  I'm sorry to hear you have such bad migraines.  My 15 yr old grandson had to start taking blood pressure meds this summer due to bad migraines.  Come to find out, that is pretty normal today.

Very impressive - the sketches not the migraines.  Migraines are the worst - hope you find the solution quickly!

Yikes!  Hope those migraines let up soon.  So good though that you have still found a way to be creative.  I am impressed that you can remember the people in your dreams with such detail.

Migraines are no fun. I have taken a heating pad to my head and sometimes a cold pack to the back of my neck. I often get migraines if I have been outdoors  and in bright sun. Blood pressure can be messed up  and my right eye was swelling, which was one root of my problem. so i hope you find the answer for yours. Think of you drawing as the finishing of thread art on the quilt. It is hard for me to draw. We need more ideas of how to quilt our quilts. May you help us all in that area.

Safe travels my friend. I sure hope they can get your migraines taken care of soon. I'm glad you have found something you can do to express your creativity. You are so gifted.  You know you are often in my thoughts and prayers. HUGS
