No not the CT fabric (although I hope to get some of that soon) but the start of my tomato canning for this year. I was lucky that it was cloudy and rainy today and therefore DC (dear cannine) didn't pester me too much for walks. I did take her for a couple of short ones but most of the time she just curled up for a nap. Lookout tonight then when she'll be ready to go!
I was hoping to get 7 quarts, but only found enough ripe for 6 but I'll have plenty more soon. Last year our whole area lost all the tomatoes to a late blight which swept through in just one day. I've never seen anything like it but I had very few of my own tomatoes to can and couldn't even find any to buy. So this is the first year in about 30 that we actually ran out of canned tomatoes before it was time to process this years.
Tomorrow I'm going to pull out the last two summer squash plants - I'm done trying to keep up with them..
