Quilt With Us

Have not posted for a while or loaded any photos.  Decided to get a few newer pictures uploaded since I had them in the camera from prepping for a recent quilt show.  Has been a slow arriving spring but rather hectic with helping ED pack and prepare for a move in two weeks.  Am finally getting back in the quilting groove after the hip surgeries so have been attacking the pile of UFO's -  several table toppers have moved to new homes as completed projects as well my own table (surprise) and some smaller quilts are done.  Now I have three larger quilts calling for my attention to complete this summer as well as some client quilts.

Gorgeous weather has tempted me away from the machines and I have done some work in the yard - much needed after two years of little attention.  Today the tomatoes and cucumbers are joining the lettuce and peppers in the very small garden I am doing this year.

A Lhasa Apso has joined our family in the last two months. We were without a furry critter for two years after losing our 15 y/o Norwegian Elkhound.  We decided to go 'looking' at the local shelters one day and Benji decided to come home with us.  He is about 7 years old and very well mannered; needless to say it is fun to have a shadow again.  He is learning about sewing/quilting and the need to keep his tail from under rolling chairs after having a few pieces of fur being left under the wheels - his favorite spot now as I work is under my desk or at the corner of the long arm depending on where I am.

Work is calling so better answer - have a good day quilting friends.

Glad to hear the surgery is under your belt,.  Been thru 2 with my mother...one cemented and the other not.  Healing was a long hard journey for her.  Hope you're back to normal  quickly.  How exciting to get a new baby.  Tell Benji hi and welcome to the family.

Good to hear from you, Arlene.  Glad the surgeries went well and that you are back in the swing of quilting.  Sounds like you have made great progress on the UFOs.  I haven't had much time for quilting lately and am itching to get back to it.  DS has been home from college for a couple of weeks, but left this morning for his summer job in Montana.  The house is much quieter and cleaner than it's been lately.  I really need to grocery shop, though. The boy can eat!  Maybe I'll get to some quilting this week.

Good Morning Arlene, I'm glad your hip surgery is healing and your able to get back at your quilting. Your quilts are beautiful. I'm glad you rescued your new dog. We lost our old dog last Sept. he was 13 and had cancer. He came from the shelter when he was 8 yrs. old. We miss him terrible. Before he died we resued a 6 mo. old dog from next door. She was being grossly neglected and abused. She has been with us almost a year now. She is the love of our life. It's nice to see you back with us.
