Quilt With Us

The name of this little quilt is "Christmas in Baltimore" designed by Mimi Dietrich. The quilt was featured in the Sept//Oct. 2007 edition of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting magazine. Evidently I ordered the kit in 2007 and then pieced the quilt top in 2008. I used gold metallic thread to do the stippling around the border of the quilt and around the outside and inside of the center and corner blocks round floral designs. I'm had this on our dining room table all during December.

What a beautiful piece of work. It is a great table topper! I also thought it was appliqued as well. From this view it is quite stunning. Nice work!

Absolutely beautiful and I join the chorus who are telling you to leave it out all year. I too thought it was all appliqued. Great job.

Mary, this is absolutely outstanding. I thought it was all appliqued at first but it is still beautiful. I love the gold thread that you used too. Your machine quilting is wonderful. Yes, I definitely would leave it out all year.

Whew! Boy, am I glad to read that it's a print and not applique'. I was imagining my eyes crossing trying to do all those tiny pieces. LOL I agree with the gals who said they'd leave it out all year round; I would if it were mine (and if hubby didn't have jigsaw puzzle pieces on our diningroom table 95% of the time).
