Quilt With Us

So, since I don't already have nearly enough ufo's I've decided I HAVE to make yet another sampler quilt! While at my quilt group, I saw a GORGEOUS sampler quilt by Fons and Porter, which our fearless leader, Barbara Perkins, is going to make with a bunch of our other quilting friends. She invited me to join in, and when I saw the photo, I decided I HAD to have it! Hmmm...two quilt groups is really not much, is it? Personally, I think that's rather modest. Oh, but I forgot to count the Southern Stars quilt group, so I guess that makes three. Oh well! I'm excited to get going on it. I just need to search my fabric stash and decide whether or not I "need" to buy more! HeeHeeee!!!!

Kristin,
That sounds like fun. Fons and Porter quilts are go pretty! I love their style. You made me think about my mom-in-law when you said you need to decide whether you need more fabric! Once, she told her sister that she was going to have some candy, something like that(They were adults at the time), and her sister said, well you dont need that! Well, that made Mom mad, and she said, its not a NEED its a WANT. And she ate the candy and loved it. She was the best Mom-in Law. She was lots of fun, and also taught me a lot about sewing!
Happy quilting!
Linda

Hi Kristin! If you don't have enough UFO's to keep you busy I'd be happy to share mine with you, after all, I should find some way to repay you for taunting me with those beautiful new Mama's Cottons! I was so excited when I received the catalog today that I dropped my book sack at the front door and sat down with your catalog and a cup of coffee. (Something I spent years telling my children NOT to do!) I tried telling myself "I shouldn't" but chances are better than good that I'll have ordered them by tomorrow because I "Need" them. They are just to pretty, if I time it right, DH will not be home the day they arrive! Two of those kits are just too pretty to pass up, oh, and I have to have those little pincushions and...
I guess I picked the right community here didn't I? By the way, have you met my friend Anita N. Abler? HeeHeeHee!!! P.S. Tell Karen I am studying!
