Correct terminology!
I've shared this with a couple of the QWU groups I belong to but I didn't want anyone to miss out on a good chuckle!
I read something on another website this morning that made me laugh and I wanted to share it. Sometimes you really get in a rut trying to clean up all those UFO's. When people ask, just say you have been "working on your PhD" (Projects half Done). Now doesn't that sound important? I'll have to beg forgiveness from my professor son-in-law (who has a real PhD) but it did give me a smile.

LOVE IT! Can't wait to use it at guild and see the confused looks on some of the faces. It sounds so much better than having 'quilt tops waiting for batting and backing'.

Does have a nice sound to it. Usually when I say I'm working on a "UFO", I get asked if I'm with the government agency working on 'aliens'. Of course, my license plate is "ALIENS" - so it all adds up. I just smile and with a wink I reply "It's a top secret".
Now I can add that I'm also working on my PhD, and see what comments I'd get.
