The Spirit Led me this week. It kept me on task. I hope you had a Spirit Led week also.
As predicted and mentioned in the last post, we had ice and snow. It was so cold for Texas. We got down to 7 degrees one morning. Since Texas is not prepared for this type of weather, it shut down the schools for 2 days. The roads were impassable. We have many hills in the area and vehicles could not get up them. We also have narrow roads in many places in the country, so many slid into ditches. I am glad I did not need to get out in the mess.
Requesting healing prayers for our pregnant DIL, she has the flu. Our son was given a steroid shot and antibiotics to ward it off. Their daughter, 3 y/o, is staying at her other grandparents home. But as of yesterday, she started running a temp. I hope it is not the flu.
Moving on, I have finished sewing the quilt top together. Today, I plan on quilting the 'cross' quilt. It is all ready to go, sandwiched and pinned. I will need the pins to sandwich the big quilt. There is a baby shower in in early February, I hope to have everything done.
My husbands tests are this week. He is trying to keep it off his mind.
I have also been called up for jury duty next week. So the schedule has been tightened. If chosen for a jury, I will really be in a bind.
I will just trust in the Lord.
May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!
