Quilt With Us

I took advantage of the CT thread sale and ordered 12 spools of various colors.  You get much more thread per spool then the large spools I buy at WM.  I was sewing with it today and I love it.  I will certainly be buying more as the need arises.

I feel sorry for all you people in the areas of our country who are in this extreme heat wave.  I can't imagine temperatures in the hundreds.  We have been getting high 80's and mid 90's lately and I think that is hot.  I hope you get some much need rain soon.  And speaking of rain.  We had two thunder storms today that rained so hard you couldn't see across the street.  I was talking to my DGD on FB who lives in Ks during the first one, and she was saying she wished it would pour out there.  I have never heard of a heat wave so bad that streets buckled, until this week on the news.  I hope relief comes soon.

The end of the month, my friend from England will be arriving.  It's a good time to come as there are lots of festivals and other things to do this time of year.  After the leaf peepers have come and gone, we pretty much roll up the sidewalks and close our Summer business's and prepare ourselfs for the cold Winter months.  But the good part is we get lots of time to hunker down to our sewing machines and drift off into a wonderland of creativity.

You can't go wrong with the value and excellence of CT thread. Whenever CT has a sale on threads, I try to order as many as I can, just to make sure I have to right color to match the new fabrics coming out.  I bought the big cones over 2 years ago and I have gone through just half of each cream, natural, grey and black.  I guess I haven't been sewing enough.

It's been hot here in New Hampshire, too. Our town has put a ban on watering the lawns everyday.  I'm glad I didn't do a veggie garden this year.  I try to conserve water by using a watering can for the flowers.  It's a form of exercise, going back and forth to the faucet, and keeping cool when I get splashed.

I use the CT thread.  I use it on the quilter and my sewing machine.  It is the best thread and the best price.  I get the 5000 yard cones for the quilter.  Basic colors.  It works so well with the machine piecing and on the quilter.  You can not go wrong using this thread.

I think of the people and animals trying to survive the heat (and wildfires!) too.  I wonder how I would survive it?  My first thought was, get a container of water and just stay in it.  But, the water heats up too!  I pray for a break from the heat and some rain where it's needed.

Glad to hear you like CT's thread.  I'll have to order some soon.

The CT thread is good. I've been using it for a few years now.  Can't beat the value for sure.  How fun you will have your friend there soon. Have a delightful time!
