Quilt With Us

Mid Week - Hump Day Yippee!

January was a blur for me, we opened our new restaurant, so I worked at my regular job all day long then went to work at night at the restaurant! Man I'm too old for that! LOL

Needless to say, my quilting fell to the wayside in the last month! I'm beginning to stress because gardening time is on it's way which is my first love, so that means outside more, less quilting, working full time helping the husband get the restaurant going........hum..........time for me, I'll make time somehow!

Enough Whining moving on. I've been working on finishing my charity quilts, I finally finshed one last night. Now I have one to take to the quilt guild meeting on Friday.

Friday is a big day, vacation for me, Guild meeting from 10-11:30 and pick up grandson at Noon, on to Wallyworld, get Madagascar II and spend the rest of the day with Landon, that's a day off!

Everyone have a great week!

I used to run an 86 seat family style restaurant so I know how hectic that can be. Time with your grandchild is precious. My only grandchild lives a couple of streets over and I used to see her almost everyday, now the parents are in the middle of a nasty divorce, after abandoning my son and granddaughter, my ex dil decided to kidnap Ava and kept her from us for over 5 months till the courts forced her to allow my son to see her, so now I only see her for a couple of hours every other week, and not much quality time. So enjoy your day, I am envious.

we opened a mom and pop type shop called Boondox! it seats about 25 people, it's reminiscent of small restaurants that we used to go when we were kids! (my husband and I that is), with our parents. Landon lives here in town I pick him up every Friday from pre-school but this Friday is special as were getting Madagascar II and having spaghettios with meatballs (yuck)

I envy you being able to spend the day with your grandson. Mine lives 3 hours away, and I don't get to see him to often. What kind of restaurant did you open?
