Quilt With Us

Good Morning!

My feet hit the floor and I was off and running this morning.  Washed last night leftover dishes, threw a load of laundry in and folded a load, made coffee, and it was time to feed the zoo.  I opened the door to feed the outside animals, and more snow so I grabbed the shovel and started at it.  All the while thinking with my Don King hair and yesterday's makeup I hadn't taken off, I look like a deranged raccoon.  Mind you I live right next to a public hunting area which also got me to thinking, there IS a 10 million dollar bounty on bigfoot right now, could I be mistaken for him? Thank goodness there were no hunters today, someone might have gotten rich. But I'm safe, I didn't get captured as a bigfoot nor wounded for being mistaken a deranged raccoon.

Think I will get ready for the day.  Not sure what the day has in store, be it running around with hubby, or staying in and sewing.  I did get a new pattern and started it so right now that's my only focus!  Gotta love new projects!  I can already see how I want to quilt it before I'm even finished.  Monday will be busy quilting a quilt for a customer which will probably go into Tuesday as well because it's a huge quilt.  Very popular BOM and this is the 2nd one I've quilted and my mom has one too.  Wildflower Rhapsody is the name.  It's a beautiful quilt for sure.  I will post pictures when I get it finished.

Wishing everyone a great day and thanking the hunters for leaving me intact!

Glad you are safe and not a trophy!  Some friends and I were just discussing whether it was okay or not to run to Walmart in your PJs.  I voted no to that but, I too have morning chores that take me outdoors, and usually in my PJs.  I have convinced myself that if I don't look at the people passing by, they can't see me!

LOL - you painted a wonderful and humorous word picture. I trust you are safe indoors and no hunters had them in their sights. I'm anxiously awaiting the picture of the quilt when completed. Sounds like a great design.

You were probably not at risk unless you are like me and can grow a fairly decent beard. Then you might have been in trouble.   :D   (...one of those things they didn't tell me about aging...sigh)

Hope your day holds great fun.

Well, the temp has climbed up to 25°F so we are in our 'bikinis' here in NH (Not!).  I have several bird feeders in the front yard and all kinds of birds have been flocking to them, including robins - I wonder where they have been nesting, it's so cold out there.

These cold days surely help us quilters - we have a very good excuse to stay in our jammies all day and go into hiding in the sewing room.

We don't have any snow on the ground but our temps sure have been cold!  I was remarking to my husband the other day that you know the temps have been really really cold when the weather people start to act like we are having a heat wave when it gets over 32 degrees!  LOL  One can't help but chuckle when they say "the temps will be warming up so expect temps of around 35 degrees".

Geez Rocky...with the weather being so miserable, those hunters may shoot you just for the hell of it! I've had those days...the weather has been so cold that one could just live in their jammies! Our son stopped over and asked if I were sick! Time to adjust the attitude! lol
