Quilt With Us

It was fun to actually meet someone in person. We live about a two hour drive apart but I go to the city for medical appointments so we have agreed to meet again. I had told her I would have a yellow rose in my hair so here I was sitting in White Spot waving a yellow rose. There were a few funny looks and the waitress thought it was a great way of telling someone who you were. Anyway, Dianne had her little girl with her and my DH and I both agreed she was a cutie. She was a little shy at first but before long she was laughing and enjoying herself too.

I went to Cottage Quilting, on Dianne's recommendation, and purchased the fabric for a king size quilt for my sister when she moves into her new home. I am making the Shoreline Log Cabin quilt from Judy Martin's Log Cabin Quilt Book. It will be in browns, creams, off-whites and I am putting in some greens as per my sister's request. I can hardly wait to get it started.

How nice! Maybe I will have the pleasure when we move to Barriere - just might be in a better location to meet up with some from our groups.
Pirate Packs !!! Oh how I remember those days....there still might be some of them tucked away in our holiday trailer.

It's so wonderful to be able to meet people in person that you already consider friends.

So glad you had a good visit. It may of been short but the next will be easier. I woud love to see your log cabin when finished. It is one of my favorite patterns. Each one is different with the colours used. Your colours sound great. I love brown and cream. Take care and get busy quilting.
