I found this site, I don't know anything about it but it does have the Cabbage Patch fabric. http://www.clothdollsupply.com/fabrics.html

Hope it helps.

Magic Cabin is a mail order company that sells dolls, dollhouses, fairies, etc. If you go to www.magiccabin.com  and put "doll kits" in the search box and there will be some doll skin fabrics as well as doll hair.

JoAnn's used to sell a fabric called "Baby Face" which was a very lightweight knit for dolls.  I haven't seen in in a long time though.  Maybe Nancy's Notions or Clotilde carry something similar.

I used a Jersey knit fabric in peach tone.

I think Clotilde has skin tone cotton, but I am not positive.  They are online.

I used to teach a class on this in the early 80's and it was a polyester knitted type of fabric. There were 3 or 4 colors of flesh tone and a couple of brown ones too. I would check fabric.com and search for doll face fabric or just doll fabric. If that doesn't work try polyester knits and see what they have.

I am thinking the original ones (20 yrs ago) were made of a fine stretchy knitted fabric. The one I got for my DGD  5 years ago had a plastic face, though, I believe. It may have had that knitted fabric for legs/arms for more ease in dressing it. I don't know whether it is available anywhere near.
