Quilt With Us

All wallpaper should come with a big red sign on it saying...At some point you are going to want to remove this wonderful wallpaper. Think twice before installing. Enough said, I want to be quilting instead of trying to remove wallpaper paste from the bathroom wall.

Teri, honey, where is that husband of yours? You said he was taking this last week off.... And the last time I put up wall paper I moved so I didn't have to deal with it! I suppose that's not an option either! And I'm not going to tell you that Marilee and I went to Cool Cottons today because you might be mad!

I also have a couple of rooms of wallpaper to remove, well more like 4. Our house is 1930 so the walls are plaster I will have to be careful about getting it off. I use a spray bottle with just plain water and take sandpaper or a knife to rough up the paper (being careful not to score to deep). I really have never had any problems with taking it down. Good luck on your project.

Hey, that's one of my projects for this year. Actually, I have two bathrooms to remove wallpaper from. The last time that I removed wallpaper, I'd use a drapery steamer and a plastic putty knife and it came off pretty easily. I'll be doing it again in the bathrooms so that I can put a border up after painting them.

Someone told me that you could use Downey and water mixture and it'll come off really easy. They didn't say what ratio you should use of each though. Good luck on your paper removal!
