In just a few days time, the Drake's Nest Studios will be celebrating it's grand opening! Can you say Happy Dance!! This is well ahead of the fall schedule I had anticipated. The last of the book shelves was put into place, the work table had its last coat of policrylic, the top for the lazy Susan cabinet is ready to be put on and it's top sealed and the cabinets are ready to be mounted. Over the next few days, I will be moving armoires from the pole barn storage into the studio and cleaning those and then moving fabric, patterns and books from my son's upstairs bedroom into the studio. Whew! With all that walking up and down the stairs and out to the studio with arms of books and crates filled with books/patterns/fabrics, I should be able to shed a few pounds. Sounds like a whole new exercise program to me. Hmmmm, wonder if I can get Kathy Griffin interested in promoting it on YouTube <LOL>.
The other news, which is wa-ay better is that if you go to my website, http://www.drakesneststudios.com, you'll see my interview of our very own Royce Vaughn of Nashville, TN and a few pictures of her glorious - and I DO mean G-L-O-R-I-O-U-S art work. Do stop by and then go pay her website a visit to see all of her marvelous art pieces.
