What an exciting day it was. I had the awesome opportunity to meet up with Jennie and Roz from New York as they passed through Seattle on their way to catch the Quilt Cruise to Alaska this past weekend. They arrived in Seattle Friday afternoon and I met up with them at their hotel in Seattle. We shared a wonderful four hours together. We sat and visited, had a little show n' tell as I brought my latest Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt along. We had been making them from 'Quiltmaker' magazine via the Bonnie Hunter mystery site on QWU. (check out the completed tops in our 'Lazy Sunday' photo DF). We had supper together in the dining room of the hotel, and all too soon it was time for us (hubby was kind enough to drive me into the city) to head back north and them to get a little shut eye so they could catch the ship on Saturday. It was a gloriously beautiful day in Seattle with temps in the 80's, crystal blue sky with a few fluffy clouds floating by, Mt. Rainier out in all it's splendor, and views of the waterfront that just can't be beat. What a welcome our fair state laid out for all the quilters that were headed for the quilt cruise. It is awesome to be able to meet up with friends you have made on QWU. When meeting face to face for the first time, it is like seeing an old friend you haven't seen in a while. The instant bond is totally, well awesome. (I'm going to wear that word out, but finding enough words to describe meeting friends is difficult) And here's the proof of our meeting. Taken in the lobby of their hotel. From left to right: Cindy, Jennie & Roz.
