Quilt With Us

Last year, Easter Sunday, Leon and I attended the church service in the Salzburger Dom Cathedral in Austria.  Very uncertain of what to expect, we took our seats in the back pews.  Of course we understood very little of the service in German, but when the congregation sang Heilig, heilig, heilig, heilig ist der Herr!  we sang with great enthusiasm...in Afrikaans: Heilig, Heilig, Heilig, Heilig is die Heer!  The memory of this Sunday will stay with me forever!! Also the sound of the 7 bells over the platz!

Pleasant Memories of Easter past are always nice to remember.  I still remember the solemn Easter celebration when I was in my own country - the processions with men carrying wooden cross to represent the Lord on Good Friday, the midnight services and the lovely songs the choir sang during Easter Sunday services.

What a wonderful memory. Every Easter you will reflect back on that special service. I have some great memories of Easter's past. One Sunrise Service many years ago we had an out door service by a lake and then went to one of the parishioners home to have breakfast out side at picknic tables. The morning was warm and so was the fellowship around the table. Happy Easter.

We have also attended services in foreign countries and have always found it is the same language just a different sound. God Bless...

This is a very passionate time of the Christian holiday. May the message and the  music of the season inspire and lift you up for He is risen. He is risen indeed, Alleluia. :-)
