Quilt With Us

Everytime I make a quilt my son say's "where's mine?" So this morning I made this quilt in EQ and ordered all the fabric from CT. I love CT, the total cost (21 yards, yes I got a little extra for  artists possible modification's, you know how it is) including batting thread and backing was $140.00. That's a steal up here in the great white north lol.  Now I hope it turns out and the boy likes it! So once again I have 5 - 14 days to finish the four quilts already started before my fabric arrives. A quilter's life is so stressful!! Oh can you tell he likes blue?

I love this quilt, too, and also the argyle one. Glad that you are the one who has to decide which one to make.

Love it, have to say it is very much like the one I did "Air Castles" I have the top finished but not quilted yet. Will send along a pic when I get home. I am currently in Paducah for the quilt expo. I think you are going to be very pleased with the outcome of this quilt.

What's not to love!!!!  The colors are his,  the design is yours' for him and the price is exceptional.

I am sure he will just love it and you.

A very striking pattern.  I'm sure he will love it.

The first bed-sized quilt I made (15 years ago) was a wedding present and was a variation of the Tennessee Waltz block, scrappy yellow and teal green.  Novice quilter that I was, I didn't realize what I was getting into, but I finished it before the wedding.  (Lots of swearing!)  It's like choosing a LeMoyne Star, Winding Ways or Double Wedding Ring for your first EVER quilt!  I have had students do that, in spite of my earnest advice.  Oh well, I really learned about 60 degree angles and was smart enough to toss anything that didn't come out exactly right.  Since it was scrappy, I just made adjustments!  LOL

Neat variation of the Tennessee Waltz block.  It looks like a fun one to do and I'm sure he'll love it.

Looks great!  I designed a similar one on EQ and really like the secondary "circle" design from this combo.
