Quilt With Us

I spent a good portion of last night sorting and folding my upholstery fabric stash (see my photos), with the help of my faithful assistant, Abigail. I plan to make more bags and totes with these fabrics so I have to see what colors and kinds of fabrics there are so at least I could match the patterns. Some of the fabrics are big enough to make an 18"x14" tote, which is the one mostly requested by my co-workers. Most are 100% cotton so I could incorporate the designs on a quilt. There were a few outdoor/waterproof remnants and these I could use for backpacks and lunch bags. I have lots of bag patterns, which I bought whenever the patterns are on sale at Joann's, so I should be able to make a good variety of bags.
I was in tears this morning when Abigail failed to jump from the table to the counter and fell. Her hind legs are now bothering her so I'll have to call the vet today and try to get her in. Her shoulders bothered her a few weeks back and seem to be fine now, but she swat my hand when I tried to feel her legs, so there must be something wrong.

The vet will see Abigail on Monday afternoon. She has been sleeping on my bed this afternoon while I was sewing keeping me company. I had my iPod on speaker and once in a while I could see her twitching her tail in time with the music.

I agree, it is more like a fabulous collection.

Sorry to hear about your baby Abigail, hope she gets better. Love your stash for making totes & bags. What does the rest of your stash look like?

Sorry about Abigail, I hope she will be alright. It sounds as though she may have some arthritis.
I hope you enjoy your stash.

I don't think this qualifies as a "stash" - it's more like a fabulous "collection"!
