Quilt With Us

Fall has arrived here in Michigan

Good Morning to all. I have to say that this has been a very strange season for us in Michigan. It's been like fall the past two day's here. It has gotten do into the 40's at night. Although I love this kind of weather it really is not good for the garden. We need those hot nights for the tomatoes and my beans seem to be at a stand still. Oh well, I have gotten some sewing done. So this is a good thing. However, my DH is leaving for Arizona this Friday and I was unable to get his GS quilt finished in time. Oh well it's so hot there that I don't think he would be using it any time soon. Well I hope everyone has a great day and happy sewing to all.

I agree my tomatoes are just starting to turn. They are 4th of July tomatoes, which has come and gone. I have gotten more sewing done in the AM when I have been waiting for it to warm up.

I know what you mean about the weather being odd, I live in Belle River across the river from detroit. My tomatoes are dong very poorly and plants are at a standstil. Very differenet form the summers I remember growing up where the nights cooled down very little. So the gaden does not need as much attention and the quilting has more of my time.
