Quilt With Us

It's slow going in the New Year.  By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all, sorry I'm a little late to the party!  HAha, as always.   Getting back to my opening sentence... I have had the same pile of fabrics on my cutting table since November.  That's a big mistake.  Every time I  go in the studio, it's there staring at me.  I set down my coffee, and immediately get feeling guilty, so I cut even more charity quilt tops and Art Abandonment pieces.  What I should be doing is picking a UFO out to work on.   But, if I exhaust my desire to pump out the charity quilts, then maybe, I can move on to my other things.

This morning, I am the ultimate clod, I burnt my hand with boiling water trying to pour it into my hot water bottle.  UGH!  It's starting to feel better after an ice bath and slathering on the Vaseline.  So, hopefully by this afternoon it will be on the road to healing and I can get back in the studio.

Enough moaning,  here's a couple pics of my cutting table and the charity quilts...

The picture just above shows 5 kennel quilts on the right and 3 mug rugs and 2 bookmarks on the left.

Thank you all for the comments.   After a couple hours, it didn't hurt anymore.  Broke the blisters and used some Hydrogen Peroxide on it, now it's forming a scab, so all is well with the injury.  In my studio today and actually made a list of UFO's and dug through the basket to get my wheels turning.

Ooh, that hurts just reading about it. I think it is wonderful that you are making the charity quilts. Your other project will be happy to see you when you are ready to deal with it again. (I have a few things stacked up myself)

Your not alone, I walk by my sewing room everyday and think I need to go in there and work but I guess I'm burnt out. Sorry to hear about your scalded hand. These kinds of injuries can take awhile to heal.

Ouch!  I am surprised you could go into your sewing room to work at all after a burn like that!   Cute projects!
