Quilt With Us

Right after Christmas I wanted to work on my Chocolate BonBons quilt  (which I have already posted a picture of in my Primitive Group).  I had made the flower applique pieces and put them in a safe place, but of course that was not it the plastic Artbin box with all of the other fabrics, the magazine that has the pattern, the bias stems I had already made.  I've been looking for the appliques everywhere.  Well, when my family and friends came for Easter I moved all the quilt blocks in progress off of the shower rod in the guest bathroom and ...TaDa...there they were, clipped to a pant hanger.  Good grief! I hate to put something in a safe place and then not remember where that safe place is...

I am currently hunting for my selection of blue/white fabric that was used to make a lap quilt & a full size bed quilt plus pillow cases to match.  I need more pillow cases & do you suppose I can locate that collection of fabric???  I'm still looking but only as I work through other projects as I find if I don't get upset & frustrated about it...things magically show up!!  Also, it helps to "sleep" on the topic!

A few yrs ago I searched & searched again for some fabric that I wanted to give to my friend Lou Ann so she could finish a quilt.  Couldn't find it for the life of me although I too had just seen it a few days before.  Of  course, the day after she bought a substitute, I found it underneath a quilt mag.  I'm happy you found yours because I know it would have been disheartening to have to make them all over again.

Your not alone, I have been looking for some denim scaps, that I patch jeans with, all afternoon and haven't got a clue where I put them.  I think I have early "oldz-heimer's.

Ah, yes, that sounds familiar. I am currently looking for a one page applique pattern that I had in my hot little hands only a few weeks ago and it's gone now. Would you please check your shower rod for it?

Sounds familiar.  Frustrating, isn't it?  So glad your quest had a happy ending.

LOL - sounds like my DH. He puts things so they will be easy to find. Well, of course, when he needs to find them he searches and searches. I usually start helping at that point and eventually we come across it. Yep, another "easy" to find spot!

So glad you found your quilt. It sounds delicious!
