Quilt With Us

I am so happy--DH found the box in the garage with my freezer paper in it. Seems like a minor thing, but we keep an inventory of each box as we pack it, cross it off as we unpack, and there weren't any more sewing/quilting boxes listed. I'm too pig-headed to go out and buy another box when I had a brand-new one I just bought a couple of months ago. Also found zippers, marking pencils, all my used gift bags I can't bring myself to throw away, and my cutting mat that reverses to a pressing pad (had no idea what had happened to that one). My personalized labels were in there, a little stand to hold my thread and scissors (missing the dowel for the thread, but it might show up), and bias tape, a piece of velcro, and some sewing machine needles. What a treasure trove! On the downside, DH thinks this should motivate me to unpack more boxes tomorrow--and, gee, I wanted to wash windows. ;)

Unpack boxes or wash windows? I don't really consider that a choice. I would probably do neither and sew or go shopping! I do understand the dilemma. All those moves as a Navy wife seemed to run together, and I felt like I was always packing or unpacking! As for washing windows, I agree with Cat Lady. As much rain as we have had this year, it is one of those never ending jobs! Good luck!

Joana, tell him you need to get the windows washed so the diminishing sunlight will come in better! Good rationalization. Mine is, "Why wash them, they will just get dirty again!" Sewing things do seem to get lost from time to time. Glad you found this treasure trove. We moved almost fifteen years ago, and there are still some boxes I have yet to unpack!

I'm so glad you found all that sewing stuff! I do really well in organized packing until the last box or two and then it just seemed like there was no more rhyme or reason and so there is always a box of miscellaneous.
Gosh, unpack boxes or wash windows.... that's hard one LOL
