FUN Surprise!

When I signed on to Facebook today I had a wonderful FUN surprise. The group quilt that I and 9 others here on QWU made in 2012 was featured on the "Quilting Daily" page. This is the picture....

Artists were: Linda Gillett, Becky Ray, Sharon Hirschorn, Linda Harriott, Barbara Blackwell,

Charlotte Gustavson, BJ Elder, Barbara Dannenfelser, Gwen Gwinner, Ally Bryant

The process - each person was emailed (or a few snail mail) their 'slice' picture that they were to recreate. The finished size of each slice is 4" wide and about 21" long. No-one knew what the final picture was until they sent their finished piece to me. Once I had all the pieces then I put them together and did the finishing details. There are a variety of methods used - piecing, raw edge applique, paint, fusing, thread painting. Each person could do their section with whatever method they wanted.
