Quilt With Us

Funny thing I heard on tv last night

This has some political elements to it, but just bear with me as that is not the reason for this posting.  My husband & I were watching Rachel Maddow last night.  She was talking about Jeb Bush meeting in Houston last weekend with his family and how the rain messed up their plans.  She said they had to stay at a local hotel instead of the Bush residence even though they also had to deal with "a small local quilt show".  The "local quilt show" she was referring to was fall market.  Now I'm sure not as many people attend that as do Festival, but I don't think I would refer to it as a "small local quilt show" either.   My husband looked at me & said "Well, are you going to e-mail her & set her straight?"  Gotta love the hubbies who understand all this.  LOL

Good grief! Yes, the quilters are a menace to society.

Obviously she is not a quilter. Too bad for her.

Well, if you don't quilt, you don't understand!  Clueless indeed.

There was 30,000 quilters in P. KY this Spring and the hotels were full over an hour away Price double over normal time.. (Never have gone, but have drove through the area during that time.)

Hilarious, Janet!  Obviously they have no idea of the scope of quilt market.  I'll bet a little rain didn't stop the quilters!  :)
