Quilt With Us

It's a dull day here in the East and I plan to hit the sewing machines as soon as I can get the gumption to get out of this chair, and get dressed. Tues. I walked across town to vote at the elementary school. Yesterday I washed all the floors and rearranged some furniture and today I haven't got enough energy to pull a hat off my head. Old age is NOT my friend. I'm going to a church Supper tonight. I thought it was yesterday. After I got my floors done I took a shower and changed my clothes and drove over to the church and no one was there. I came home and looked at the calendar to find that it's not til tonight. Note to self, look at the calendar every morning. Have a great day.

+Irene, I enjoyed reading your story.  I would have enjoyed that turkey dinner.

You're so right Mary. And I don't want the alternative just yet.

Been there and done that a few times myself. I read an article in Reader's Digest a long time ago that said "as long as you remember things, you are okay. It's when you don't remember them that you aren't.  Guess I'm still okay, because these things come back even if I did forget them at first. Your church Supper sounds delicious. Especially the Lemon Pie.

Years ago I read an article in a women's magazine that said our brains are like computers.  The older we get the longer it takes to retrieve information.  I told my MIL that & her response was "That makes me feel so much better.  I was beginning to think I just couldn't remember _____!"  LOL   My MIL was quite a gal.

Now you have me drooling!

PQ I got a good laugh from your comment about having two Sat. in a row.

Barb I just got home from the church supper. I thought it was going to be spaghetti. When I got there it was turkey and all the fixings.  It was delicious and they had every kind of pie you could make. I had a good size piece of Lemon pie. Almost as good as PQ's two Sat. in a row.

Join the club!  We all have those moments.  I am glad you didn't miss out on the church supper entirely.

Hang in there, Irene.  You'redoing great - keeping active and involved.  And yep, I've "misremembered" dates and activities, too.  One week, I was a day off the entire week!  I'm not sure where I lost a day, but on the bright side, I had two Saturdays in a row that week!  :D
