Quilt With Us

As you may have noticed, I'm not very diligent about adding posts to my blog. This goes for the blog through my web site as well! I'm working 10-12 hours a day right now in an effort to finish new quilts, finish writing instructions and having new patterns printed in preparation for International Quilt Market in May. This year it's being held in Pittsburg, which means I will need to have everything completely ready to be shipped in about 6 weeks. For those of you who might not be familiar with Quilt Market, it's an international wholesale trade show for the quilting industry that takes place twice a year where vendors decorate their booth and display their current products. It's a huge event, requires a lot of preparation, but is so much fun! I've attached a few photos of my booth taken at Quilt Market in Portland last spring. Guess who stopped by to say hello. . . Teri and Judy. . . friends from Connecting Threads!

That was such a beautiful booth! Make sure you take pictures of the one you are working on now since I won't be there to see it in person. I love this picture - it reminds me that I once had a waist and after the baby is born possibly could have one again!

Vickie: Wow! Was I ever excited to read your blog post. I'm with you on all points. I too am preparing to go to Market, although I am driving our motorhome from Washington to PA with all my stuff on board. I'm Debbie with Sew Simple Patterns. My friend, Virginia with GallopingPony.com is also going. We went to Portland together and had a blast. She was able to go to Houston this last year as well. There's a group attached to the CT blog for designers. It would sure be nice to have you join and share knowledge. I got my last two new patterns back from the testers and editors (just yesterday) and now I can finished them up. I'll sign off here and go visit your website. Mine needs help. I'm a quilter and not a webdesigner and am too cheap to hire a web designer. So, with that said...I'm off to my sewing room to work on my web site today. Debbie PS: my booth number at PA is 1726...would like to meet you in person.
