Quilt With Us

Every Fall, a group of us plan an outing. this year, it was my turn to plan it. This is no easy task...these women are tough! lol So, we started out with a full day of outlet shopping, because it was on the way to the main event! I booked us for culinary lesson on making Harvest Soups...We were two hours from home, so rented rooms close to the school. This was sooo much fun.

They have a high end kitchen that has 24 stations. They serve appetizers and wine while you cook. Each station had a different soup to fix, after they were ready you get to go around and sample everyone's pot. There was much laughing, but we learned a lot on how to make different stocks, use of knives, and techniques. It was great fun...We ended the night back at the hotel with a bottle of New York's finest wine...a good time was had!

I have been to this place before and done the same thing with our admin group from work!  We made grilled pizzas and wine tasted too - a great time was had by all!

What a wonderful idea!  Perfect for the fall season.  I never underestimate the value of girlfriend time!

Sounds like a wonderful time! Anything that involves girlfriends, excursions and food has to be fun-the wine adds a bit extra.

Sounds like a great time was had by all! We all need an outing like this from time to time. It helps to spend time with good friends and forget about things for the time. You end up reguvenating yourself and you go back to real life with a fresh outlook. I recently spent a long weekend with five crafting friends - 3 quilters & 3 scrapbookers - at an old Victorian house in PA. It was great.
