My son and his dad will be here Sunday to help get things ready for me to go home and be able to function. They are letting me go home Monday morning. It's a happy/nervous feeling, like entering the unknown... But I am putting my trust in God that I will be fine. I am so grateful they will be staying for about a week, so I will have time to adapt to home while I have help before I go it alone. William probably won't be able to go home for about 2 or 3 more weeks. Monday I will get to see him tho and I am very happy about that.

Comment by Sandy Todd on June 30, 2012 at 11:48am YIPEE! So very, very happy for you Laurie! We're still pulling for both you and William. I echo Pam's suggestions (very good advice!). As they say in the "trucker" world...Ten Four Good Buddies!
Comment by Joana Simmers/GA on June 30, 2012 at 11:13am I'm so glad, Laurie--both that you can see William and that you are getting to go home. It's so good that you are going to have someone there while you make the transition to being at home. I'll be praying for you and for all to go well, and for William to be able to join you at home soon.

Comment by Irene Gallway on June 30, 2012 at 5:41am I'm so glad your going home and getting a chance to go visit William. I can understand you feeling apprehensive about going it on your own. I'm happy your son and his dad will be there with you during the first week. It will give you a chance to gain strength and confidence. But don't over-do.
Comment by Prairie Quilter/NE on June 30, 2012 at 5:08am What a milestone! Going from full time care to going it alone would be a little nerve wracking, but I'm confident they'll help you make the transition. Love hearing all of the good news. We are cheering for you every step of the way!
