Quilt With Us

Just checking in to let you know that each day, I'm feeling better. Getting more "mobile" and doing some house work. Dusting and keeping things picked up.  On Sunday Bud was taken to the hospital with a mini stroke.  He was in the hospital for 3 days.  He's not the best patient. Complained about the hospital bed and anything else he could find to complain about.  But he is doing good with no permanent damage.

My church family have been super, bringing in food and doing my floors and other heavier chores. And their visits are always appreciated.

Yesterday one of my sewing friends stopped by with some things she had made to show me. It was refreshing to talk sewing with someone. By the end of the month I should able to go do some of my own errands and get out and about for a change of scenery. I miss my bingo and sewing groups and my church and it's activities.

One thing sickness teaches you is to be thankful for each day you can get out of bed and do what you want. You never know what the next day will bring.

I hope your all enjoying the Summer ~ Irene

Glad Bud is ok. This must be a warning to take of himself. Hope he does and takes it seriously. It is so nice to hear how you are improving day by day. Sounds like you are  blessed with wonderful friends. Hang in there, slow but sure!

Love how your sense of humor prevails in your responses to your latest posting!  A sure sign you are doing better.  It's great you have such a network of friends, and church family.  I'm sure it helps when a friend who shares your passion for sewing stops by to share ideas.

So nice to hear from all of you.  It's something to look forward to when I open my computer. I spend time each day looking at the pictures on here. And watching tutorials on Missouri Star Quilt Co.  I have to get my sewing "fix" in one way or another. lol  Pam I feel like giving Bud a lot more then a boot to the Buns. I would like to put him out for adoption. ANY TAKERS?  And by the way the deal is final with no returns.

Keep up the good work and hope DH continues on good road, too.

We've been traveling all day...sorry to hear about Bud...give him a boot to the buns for me and tell him to get busy and take care of himself. We get lazy and eat the wrong things, no exercise and don't check our pressure....

As for you, happy to hear progress but don't over do....friends are the best. Wished I could be there to help you out.

Irene, you sure have had more than your share of medical issues to deal with including those of your sister, your own & now your husband's!  I sure hope things settle down for you soon.

Men are not the best patients. Glad to hear you are both doing better.

Glad you're getting better Irene. What is it with men? I know Bud had an actual health scare but some of them get all weird over a hangnail.
