Quilt With Us

I had the opportunity recently to take a free motion quilt class. It was a fun day. I still have a lot to learn but did pretty good for a beginner. I didn't know you had to lower your feed dogs and pull the bobbin thread up. A little knowledge makes things much easier.  I joined the Quilters Guild a couple of months ago. Now I belong to three sewing groups.

Yesterday I decided to tear up my little garden spot so I can re-plant and add new plants. I'm so sore today I can hardly move. They say a little exercise never hurt anyone. Well I got news for whoever came up with that statement.  So today I will be out there replanting and adding a rose bush and some little flowers. Don't know what they are but they are pretty pink.

Good for you for taking that class Irene.  I was talking to my 16 yr old grandson yesterday about never losing the desire to learn something new.  It sounds like you are really enjoying being a member of that guild & the sewing groups.  I dropped out of my last guild, but I belong to a small group of ladies who meet once a month & enjoy it very much.  We just work on our own projects & have lunch.  We all have the same political viewpoints which is nice because we don't have to worry about upsetting someone if we make a remark about something.  Makes it much more relaxing!
