Quilt With Us

Oh my gosh!  Where has the first half of the year gone?  I haven't blogged in ages and I feel like since the weather has gotten better all my time is spent doing those jobs outdoors.  Not just gardening either.  We had to fix some facing coming off our house and patio walls.  Though not a hard thing to do, just time consuming.  The other big project was moving wagon loads of rock from the back yard to the front yard, replacing bark chips  ( I hate bark, it blows...everywhere) with the rock.  It took us (DH and I) two full days, but wow what a difference.  And it will be lower maintenance.   Indoors we've been catching up on little jobs too.  DH has taken on cleaning up our basement and I've been touch-up painting walls.  It's non-stop never-ending, but I gotta say, "I am sooo ready to sit and sew/quilt".  Seeing the finished work is satisfying, but not like the satisfaction of finishing a quilt.  So, I've set aside some time and I will be getting back to this quilt (Sapphires in the Sky)::

My son has been promised this one, so I'd like to finish it by his birthday next month.  Wish me

luck!  :o)

Thank you for your comments.  Yes, it is all machine done.  Some of the quilting is done with mono filament thread which can be challenging.  :o)

Your quilt is beautiful.  Is this hand quilted or machine?
