Happy Holidays! The best is yet to come

I'm so excited to share my tiny little piece of the quilting world with all of you. As the holiday season approaches, I look forward to a new year and new motivation to get my many unfinished projects done. Because heaven knows it's not going to happen before Christmas! And I'm hoping Karen's UFO group will help me with that. :) I also can't wait to get started on our new block of the month group. I'm hosting the first project, featuring Paula Stoddard's Southern Stars pattern, sewn in our very own Country Essential Breeze collection, which I love! It should be a fun and easy quilt to get done, so I hope you'll join me. It will officially start after the new year of course, because I'm still trying to finish my Christmas shopping! Does anyone else out there have kids who change their wish lists daily? I finally had to take their lists off of the refigerator so they can't write anything new on them. haha! Anyway, I digress. I look forward to making new friends and sharing and learning from all of you. Merry Christmas!

I'm looking forward to this new group and learning some new things while also learning more about the computer as well. I think this will be lots of fun.

Hi Kristin--- I have a question about the BOM quilt. I am using the hand dyed fabrics from CT and would like know if I should wash the FQ before cutting them. I have not seen the fabric as it is at work and we just returned from St Petersburg,Fl and I will return to work tomorrow. I also would like to use the Sand dunes pack as the background fabric but is 3 yds enough or do I need to order another pack?
Thank you for your help. Nicola

Hi All,
I'm looking forward to making this pretty BOM. I've been getting Connecting Threads catalogs for a while, but the kit is my first purchase. Happy New Year and happy quilting to everyone in this group ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you enthusiastic quilters! My first project for Jan. is to fiinish the UFO's sitting on my shelf from 2008. So I'd best get started, as the pile has been growing, and I need to get on with all the new projects I have lined up for 2009. Happy Quilting to all. C.

I thought my daughter was the only kid to keep changing her wish list! And right up until the very last day! Of course I just laugh at her (and then privately panic that she won't like what we got her). I've got the last laugh though - I haven't shopped for her yet!
