Quilt With Us

I wish you all a very happy mother's day. Here's a reminder of how precious every moment is with your family:

The article is about my friend Tamara and her family on her last Mother's day today. I always called her a 'firecracker' because she was so energetic and lively. She will be dearly missed by so many people that love her.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful family. They are an inspiration and a wake up call to so many who take tomorrow for granted. They will be in my prayers.

Thanks everyone. I forgot to mention that there are pictures of the photo quilts she asked her sister-in-law to make for her kids. Just click on the 'photos' tab above the article.
Tamara really is in peace with her life, we had a wonderful visit a couple of months ago and I could see that she accepted her destiny and was doing her best to prepare her family.

Oh, Sherry, this article just put me in to tears. What a special lady your friend is! You can tell her children really love her & that will bring her some peace when the time is here for her to pass on.

Thanks for sharing the article! It is always had knowing someone with cancer. I have a good friend who is also fighting ovarian cancer. We have just gotten her interested in quilting and she is loving it. Her daughter has thanked us over and over again for getting her involved and excited about something again. She is in remission right now, but it is so hard to hear her say, "I hope I live long enough to get this finished". She did finish her first quilt (it will be for her grandson when he gets married someday!) and was so excited to have finished at least one. Everyone--Have a Happy Mother's Day!

Sherry, it's a very lovely and heartbreaking story. Thank you for sharing........ I had a very close girlfriend that had the same kind of cancer, she left five children, but they were all young adults and spent as much time with her as they could pull together.......
