Quilt With Us

Greetings from Northeast Ohio. I'm on "permanent vacation". I dropped out of the rat race 2 years ago. I have been able to finish a number of quilts - some that were started years ago. I have a number of half finished quilts. I usually find another quilt to make while I'm in the middle of one - so neither is finished. I started sewing when I was 10 and used needle and thread to make doll clothes. I used an old treadle-type machine in high school to make my own clothes. When I was first married, my husband bought me a quilt kit. My very first - I was hooked. Judging from the special shelves and storage he has built for me, he doesn't seem to mind the addiction. Looking forward to making new friends here. Have a great new year.

Valerie,

DId you ever finish your kitchen? I think you were tiling it about the same time as I was starting mine. .Curious as I came across this posting in my archives. I fiished it then tiled our bedroom floor. Now on to replacing a hot water heater in our masterbath. I just finished painting that after 5 months and now have to remove part of a wall to get to the heater. Previous owner walled it in! It never seems to end! I retire in 3 years and can't wait as my house will be totally new again by then! Pauline

Valerie, I did all, kni the same sewing by hand when I was a kid. Loved to outfit my dolls. Then moved on to hand made aprons, etc. Over the years I've tried it all, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, all kinds of crafts, but I really love the whole quilting process. Don't have friends who appreciate quilting with me, so I like this idea here. Look forward to making friendships. - jane

1/2 finished quilts, starting in the middle of a project. Sounds like it should be my blog. Down the to hubby that joins in my addiction by building storage and tables over the years. We sure got lucky! Pauline
