Quilt With Us

Hope you were sitting down when you saw I actually posted! LOL  I've been pretty AWOL from here. Life has been so busy for me.

In case no one has posted, Annie Shaw, one of our CT family of bloggers, has died.  I do not know the details, but found out on Facebook.  Please keep her family in prayers.

I actually have made three things already this year ... a fiber art lighthouse picture, a little vest for a baby gift, and something else that currently escapes me. Oh my... where is my mind.   I have a new purse cut out - LOTS of pieces to it - and hope to get sewing on it soon.

Our youngest son and family, which includes our Miss Bailey, will be arriving on the 24th ... weather permitting ... for a visit. Our oldest son will be coming too and then another family joining them all on the weekend. It's going to be a busy time. Wouldn't trade it for the world. We'll celebrate Adam's birthday and Miss Bailey's 7th birthday - a few weeks early, but she was born early too so I guess it evens out.

Speaking of Miss Bailey - she started first grade this year and after the first week was moved up to 2nd grade (and could have gone to 3rd but her wise parents said no). She is also in the 'gifted' program and excelling there. I think she is still in size 12 clothes, but that could have changed by now.  Quite a change from our premie.

We definitely are in winter here with snow and cold temps and warm fires.  Today started some freezing rain on top of it all (not the fire) so it is pretty slick out right now. We're keeping busy with the lodges and church and try to squeeze some sewing time in, but not as much as I'd like.  Can't complain though - God is good.

I can not believe how quickly Bailey is growing up.  What a gifted girl!  Winter sure is interesting, isn't it.  Cold and snowy, to ice storms, now highs in the low 40's.  What's next

Wonderful to hear from you! It sounds like Miss Bailey is doing fabulously--like her grandma. Your description of the purse project gave me chills. Have fun with it.

Hello lady- happy to see you posting.I know about family and friends keeping you busy. It is a good thing and we drop everything when it comes to the grandsons...

Baily is quite the student! That is wonderful...we' will all get a tour of the White House someday because we knew her!!!

We are heading south next week for a couple of months to escape the cold and visit family. Can't wait to be tan! Stop in again soon and enjoy the family!

I also seen the post on FB about Annie Shaw.  I was sorry to hear about her. Also glad you posted. I have missed your posts.  I agree with Sharon about you posting pictures of your family.  Sounds like a wonderful weekend with your family. I'm expecting another great grand baby soon. A sister for Melody Rose.

It is nice to see a posting from you BJ.  Miss Bailey sounds like she is doing great.  Your weather sounds awful though.

So good to hear from you, BJ!  Glad life is going well. Enjoy your family time.  I'm sure you'll fit in lots of hugs for Miss Bailey.

Sorry to hear about Annie Shaw's passing.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful news about your family. It's always great to hear of Miss Bailey and to hear how she is growing up. Many precious memories will be made when the family gets together. Hopefully, you'll post a picture of Miss Bailey along with others. Our weather is cold, but not as cold as yours and we don't have the snow. I'm still sewing for Project Linus, plus more baby quilts for friends and relatives. Hope your New Year will be a blessed one though out the year.
