Quilt With Us

Just wanted to tell everyone Happy New's Years even if I am a little early.

Things have been up and down in this house lately.  DD had the "HUGE" blood clot in the leg earlier this month and spent 5 days in the hospital.  I think my last post was about getting to babysit my DD.  I did spent a week after work and weekends visiting her and helping her get up and around abit. She had a visit with her regular doctor who told her to get up and move around more.  Her leg is now back to its normal size again.  DD has been up and moving around and feeling better and walking without her walker.  Wouldn't you know it we all get sick after that.  I had not one but two sinus infections then I had and eye infection as well.  I was off work for a week before Xmas.  DD then got sick as well.  According to her DR. she has lost 15 lbs. and was told to eat alot. Now she has no appetite, I know, I took her to lunch and she 5 bites of food and she was done. ( I wish I could say the same)

DD has a visit with her OB dr early next month and they will make a decission on delivery date for the baby.  She has been on blood thinners and they want to control when to take her off and induce labor.  The last I heard she wanted Feb 13th.  I would have picked another day, the poor little guy will have his birthday every 7 years on a friday the 13th.

Needless to say there hasn't been much sewing going on lately.  I've been busy with illness' and DD and of course dear old mom who has been doing really well all things considered. I haven't been able to take her out as much sense DD got sick but I do make sure to have dinner with her once a week.

So lets all cross our fingers and say a prayer that DD doesn't have another "whatever" next month and baby Aiden can arrive safe and sound in early Feb and hopefully not on the 13th or 14th (DD has 4 cousins that were born on Feb 14th  Valentines Day, so I'm hoping for something different that week)

I hope 2013 brings calm and joy into your life. Best wishes for good health and a safe delivery--the date is not important.

Wow Kathy, I don't know how you have gotten through all of this, but probably because you had to, right?  Hopefully the future will be brighter!  Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
