Quilt With Us

Has anyone out there bought and/or, used the new AccuQuilt fabric cutter?

Wow, I found my way back! Thanks for the welcome that really helped! Anyhow, since I am here once again, I would really like to know if anyone out there has the AccuQuilt and uses it often. I am really interested in how well it works. With my cutting not always being "right on", I am hoping that I will be able to invest in one of these one day soon. First I would really like to find out if it is being used by several quilters and if so, how well does it work. It sure sounds like it could be a godsend for me. I just don't want to put so much money into it, if it isn't what it's cracked up to be. I also wonder if I wait awhile, if the price will go down at all?! And how many accessories have to be gotten in addition to the basic items that comes with it, in order for it to do all that one wants it to do.....................
Any thoughts on this, please share!!
Thanks and have a great weekend!! Do you believe that we are into 2009? I can't, but here we are!

for all those Accuquilt ladies -- just heard the prices are going up -- apparently the shops are now forbidden to give discounts, so unless we all buy direct from Accuquilt there will be no more deals,

not sure how this will work, I for one can not buy from Accuquilt direct, will be very interesting to see how this will work will all those stores who have sales

anyone used the new Sizzix Big Shot Pro - Quilters fabric cutter?  It takes the Dies from Accuquilt as well as Sizzix dies.  Want to hear from people who are using this new machine.

I love the idea that one machine will work will all makes of dies.  Plus batting and paper and others.

Yes, Yes and Yes!
The Accuquilt Fabric Cutter is great - makes quilting a pleasure - all the time!!!
When the cuts are accurate then the sewing is just perfect!
Our store in Canada have a great special on Accuquilt Mix & Match Starter Set which is a crazy price in Stores everywhere else is now on - I would think close to their cost price. www.stitchintheditch.com
have a look and see for yourself. Being in Florida you will have convenient stores there, know Elaine looks after customers in that area - have often read her posts.
What sizes are you looking for? I use the 2.5 strip frequently, and the the 5inch square is so convenient. Have made a quilt using 6.5 square and the 3.5 triangles turned out great - I love the drunkards path in both sizes! Have you tired the winding ways die? The new baby go is going to be so convenient. By the way just got a newsletter from our online store - if you get your friends to sign up and they order you get a gift voucher from the store! Easy way to buy that new die! So guess what I have forwarded the newsletter to several of my quilting friends and when the order I will be getting payback!

I have the Accuquilt and all of the dies. I initially bought it because I too had cutting issues:-) I love it and am waiting on the new dies to become available. My only complaint is that they still don't have dies for some sizes that are fairly common. I bought mine on-line from a Quilt Shop in Florida and got a great deal. This is now the only place I buy Accuquilt supplies. It's really easy to use and a great time saver.

Have you seen the news about a new baby GO and new dies before Christmas? It is in the newsletter from www.stitchintheditch.com - sign up for this newsletter and hear what is on the way and when it will arrive. I really like some of the new dies, have pre-ordered a few, and I have pre ordered the baby GO! as a Christmas present, really affordable as a gift, they have a starter set on this website and that is what I pre -ordered, takes care of one very special persons gift, something I know they will be so excited to own.

The new dies from Accuquilt arrived this week - will be at the Canadian store www.stitchintheditch.com around 14 September. This store has the full range of dies and great prices - but the service is what is amazing, they are so helpful and knowledgeable. The orders are sent out same day. I love my accuquilt go fabric cutter, best buy ever!
I have lots of the dies and mats - all from stitch in the ditch, have a look at the site it is great!
Made a great number of quilts using the dies -- the only one I do not like is bountiful baskets, really disappointed with this one, going to speak to Nulagh about it. She will know if it is a user problem or what|!
Since accuquilt removed price control the prices have gone down on Accuquilt, we Canadians know about the cost of shipping and import and custom costs, we sometimes look at he US price and forget we are international and can not expect those prices! what a bummer!

Vickie you are spoiled ! and very lucky, at this stage I do not need the larger machine, the Go works great for me, you can only buy the Studio direct from Accuquilt - they do not have distributors for them. that makes it really expensive to bring them into the country. Love the videos - have several of the patterns especially for the go!
You must be in the |States Vickie, so you do not know our great store here in Canada!

I own both the GO! & Studio. They both have a purpose & I love them both, but you get what you pay for. The Studio is far superior to the GO!, but I love the GO! for small projects & applique dies. The cost is great when they have sales. Sign up for emails & you can win a $250.00 gift certificate, every Friday they give GO!'s away in a random drawing on their Facebook site, they have great Video demos & The Accuquilt website is wonderful. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me. And NO I do NOT work for them - I am just a VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!

I just bought the sizzix machine. It is small but was only 60$ but it didn't come any starting dies. I do not have my dies yet, I bought the hexagon one and half inch from ebay for 21$ with shipping. I will post, after I get to use it:) and tell ya if it works. If it does the dies are so much cheaper and it is easy to crank than the go, but boy do I like the accuquilt.

A great way to start and what a saving. this is a limited offer and worth checking out.
