Quilt With Us

As some of you may recall I have been moved from room to room in the house. I went from one room in the house and my Longarm in the garage to ALL of me being moved into the garage. Then I was moved back into the house and occupied more territory than the other half. I have two rooms. Ok I had two rooms. So now the garage/ family room was going to be a small apartment but he has decided that the back half of the garage is being converted into an actual sewing room with walls and everything!! I even get a heater and overhead lights. He is putting up a door too. He said it would lock on the outside only (I should be suspicious about now of his motives.). The room will be large enough for two tables to work on and with my two sewing machines it will be nice to have space on them to actually cut material and be in one place. I won't have the longarm machine in the room otherwise I would just take up the whole garage again and that is just too cold in the winter time. At the rate in which he is working I could be moving within the next couple of weeks. I will have pictures to follow provided he unlocks the door and lets me out again once it is finished!

Small fridge, microwave, shelves for food, bathroom, what else do you need? Install your own lock from the inside! LOL......sounds great!

I'll have to make list of supplies to take in there with me. I didn't think of the food supply, more like coffee is always at the top of my list. Good thing I signed up for that left over vacation time in June by the looks of things I will be moving soooooooooon!! I give him credit though, instead of having to by another table he is using the cabinets to make a large cutting table. What a guy!!!

Yah, lock on the outside only!!! I would be real suspicious of that Kathy. Make sure you stockpile some food and water eh? as you may never get out until we go looking for you since we didn't hear from you. You might want to take the computer out there too so you can SOS us if you need some help to escape. Other than that, back half of the garage would be wonderful.

Hope you can get settled soon in your new space... and that you don't have any more moves in the near future.

yikes...that's a lot of moving. I'd be worn out. Let's hope this one works and is put together the way you want it. My DH doesn't know a sewing table from a design wall. Good luck.

Take food and water in with you. Who cares if you can't get out?

I would leave it un-locked and put a dead bolt on the inside. And keep the key in my pocket.lol I'm anxious to see it when it's done. Moving anything is a chore but moving a sewing room is really a job.

Good luck! I think you might shoud have your own key made and bribe a kind person in the neighborhood. "If they don't see you for more than 3 days, come on over and unlock the door'"
