Quilt With Us

I haven't posted before, just browsing.  I like the pp witch, she's cute.  I am just putting on the binding on a small wall hanging, The Grim Ripper.  Think I got it off LOQ.  Anyway it goes with the season.  I was using the thread I'd purchased from Connecting Threads, and whether it was just the spool or not, it kept shredding, and I wasn't using long pieces doing the binding either.  Anyone else had that problem or am I alone in this problem?  I also just finished a small hanging call Spell Gone Wrong, also in line with the season.  I don't usually do many Halloween things, but these 2 were so cute, I couldn't resist.

I'm trying to get over a cold/sinus/cough.  Doctor said it was a virus, but I've had it almost 3 weeks.  I'm better, but still cough and am so tired.  Need to be getting fall cleaning done, etc. but just don't feel like it.

Have a good one.  Jan in KS

Hi Janet, I can sympathize on the cold/sinus/cough thing. Seems to be some bad stuff out there. I haven'tused CT thread yet but do have some on hand. Hope you can figure out why it's breaking!

Janet, let the customer service people at CT know the problem you are having with their thread.

Maybe I just need to wax it when I do my hand stitching.  I don't have any issues with it when I use it in my Bernina.  I did try it once in my mid arm machine and had the same problems, so have never tried it again.  I have a quilt in almost ready to quilt for a dear friend with cancer.  I used the word panel, What Cancer Cannot Do, made it larger so it will be  a throw size.  Hoping to get it done this week.

It's a beautiful but windy day here in KS.  Hope you have a great one too.  Jan in KS

I have also been happy with the CT thread.  I had read, at one time, that it did not work well with some Janome machines.  I do use a Janome with no problems.  I'm really hoping you post some pictures of those fun-sounding projects!  Feel better soon.

I use CT threads (large cones) all the time without problems.  Welcome to the crowd.
