We picked up my new loom on Wednesday and set it up in the living room until spring.

Comment by Peggy Stuart on February 19, 2013 at 7:26pm Thanks, Terry! Yes, our Vintage Stitchers group is pretty prolific, and most of the members have grandkids, so we get a lot of fun kiddie quilts. And Daphne will be needing twin-size quilts soon!
Comment by Terry F on February 19, 2013 at 6:33pm Nice bunch of kiddie quilts! And thank you for the cute Valentine Hart!
Comment by Peggy Stuart on February 19, 2013 at 2:35pm Francine: What a good idea for leftover warp! I hate to waste anything. I have plenty of yarn bits for practicing, and the loom has plenty of warp in it to start with. There is a local store (by local, I mean an hour each way) and I know about the Halcyon catalog. I'll add you to my small list of people who know how to weave and are online. Now I will have three people I can ask questions of, besides my local friends, who are mostly beginners.
HI Peggy,
I am not home right now but if you need anything for your loom let me know - I have a 36-45 and 60 in. loom back home - also where do you plan to buy your thread.. - also I am knitting right now some '' mop dish'' - sorry not sure of the name - it is to wash the dishes - but more as a decoration - and I do those with what ever thread is left on my loom after I take my pieces out
let me know if I can be of any help - and also where you buy you thread - can also send you the link to start your weaving if you want - see you Francine
Comment by Peggy Stuart on February 19, 2013 at 6:55am I can't believe she'll be three in May!
Comment by Debbie Snyder/WA on February 19, 2013 at 6:42am Again, you and your friends amaze me on all the work you get done. I agree that your loom looks right at home. Daphne's smile is so infectious and she sure is growing up quickly.
Comment by Peggy Stuart on February 19, 2013 at 6:38am Annette, it's from Tools of the Trade, Fair Haven, VT. They don't seem to have a website. Joanie says it's about 40 years old.
Comment by AnnetteJ on February 18, 2013 at 9:06pm What brand of loom is it Peggy? Oh, boy...you're in for a ride <LOL>
Comment by Peggy Stuart on February 18, 2013 at 6:10pm Daphne is a cutie, all right! (Not that I'm biased, or anything....) Wish I had more time to spend on my fiber fun. If I could knit, quilt, spin and weave all at the same time, I'd be in heaven...and maybe I'd get more finished!
Comment by Barb/WI on February 18, 2013 at 6:00pm Enjoy that new loom...I can't wait to see what wonderful things you do with it! What fun quilt pictures you've posted, along with that cute little Valentine Hart!
