Up date on DD and baby Aiden, well she went to see her OB doctor yesterday and failed on a few tests.  DD has developed high blood pressure and Aiden failed on the stress test and according to DD his heartbeart is higher as well. Ok I'm not sure what all that means and to top it off DD has been having preterm labor. DD didn't sound to happy when I talked to her yesterday afternoon so I decided to go pay a visit to them bearing what gifts I had collected.

I took mom shopping yesterday morning for a few things I knew DD wanted for Aiden for the baby shower later this month. Mom picked up a variety of things: socks PJ's and a couple of outfits for when he is older.  I found an outfit three piece set and overalls for when he is older.

I took the outfits I bought with the pillow I had just finished over to their house.  DD loved the overalls and the pillow. I had put the pillow into the bag that the pillow form had come in and she asked if I had made the pillow? I guess the project passed the "is it good enough" test.  If she couldn't tell that I had made it then it must be pretty good. LOL

DD has a visit with her regular doctor who is monitoring her blood thinners today and next monday she has an appointment with a high risk OB doctor.  I have had the feeling that DD wasn't going to make it to next month to deliver this little guy and now I have doubts that she will wait until the baby shower on the 26th of this month.  I know the high blood pressure is probably due to DD and her worrying so much about how this pregnancy has been going.  DD has grown up quite a bit in the last few years.  She worries about bills and getting things done when they can wait as well as her job that she has missed so much of lately.

Well no matter what happens I do believe that both will be fine. DD works at one of the better hospitals in the area and now it sounds like she will be having Aiden at the same hospital that she was born in.

She has been through the mill with this pregnancy. Sending prayers that whatever time she has left is uneventful. If the baby is born early they are so prepared these days for preemies.

I think DD was feeling better.  Her regular doctor said BP was fine.  Ordered her up some compression socks for the blood clot.  As for the 2nd generation at the same hospital, it will actually be the 4th generation, I was born there and so was my mom.  That could be a record, hope she gets a bonus for that one.

Good Luck with all of it, and to all of you.  Sometimes hours seem like weeks when you are worrying.  How special to have 2 generations in the same hospital for as mobile a society as we are and how the medical facilities keep changing.

Sorry to hear of the new problems for your DD and now for Aiden.  Sounds like the medical people are keeping on top of it all.  How nice to take the gifts over to her now -- I'm sure they all made her smile!
