Quilt With Us

It has been said that if you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans. So true, so true. Several years ago I had this vision of what my life would be like. Running my own highly successful business, enjoying all my grandchildren, finding time to indulge in all my hobbies. WOW wakeup call, going back to my career job these past few years plus running the diaper business has left me zilch time for hobbies, not seeing 2 of my 3 grandchildren, not what I had dreamed. Now once again the world has turned. Due to company closing I am unemployed, the business is dragging, my oldest son was deathly ill over the holiday season(he is well on the mend), still I am excited to see what God's plan is for 2013. I have missed all of you and hope to once again contribute to this community.

Highlight of last year was my daughter's wedding in October. Will post some pictures soon. Now that my son is on the mend I plan to get my sewing room back in order so that I can become creative once again.

So until next time, remember: God loves ya and so do I.

It's so great to hear from you Edith! Sorry that the past year wasn't what you expected, but then do we ever know what's ahead, even if we think we have it "all together", it can change so very quickly! Happy to hear your son is on the mend and that your daughter's wedding was a highlight! Happiest to hear you have returned to us!! Have a great day!

There you are, Edith.  I was thinking of you in the last week and wondered if all is well with you as you haven't been on the blog for way too long.  You are like finding a long lost friend.  Welcome back.

I've missed you!  So glad to see your post.  Life sure takes some unexpected turns, doesn't it?  So glad I'm not walking this road alone.

Also saying, "I will NEVER move there or DO such and such" -- God just laughs and says, 'hmmm, think again'. LOLOL  The good part is that God is in charge and keeps watch over us and helps us through it all. I've decided I'm glad He doesn't show us our life mapped out ahead of time. Like you, my life is so much different than I ever dreamed it could be, but it has been so full of blessings and joys and learnings that I can't complain.
