Joanna, I did not take a class or use any special rulers. Just found a picture on-line and made templates (trial an error) for the size I wanted (8" finished). I looked at a lot of different methods for this, including the one that used HSTs to form the diamonds and trapezoid pieces. I didn't want to cut up my fabrics that much, although that would probably be by far the easier method, and there was a free tutorial on line for that method.
I love them,,,Did you take a class and use the rulers that comes with it? They do work really well I'm told..
Great fabric choices!
It is very nice. Looking forward to seeing the entire top.
PQ, I like your rendition. It fits very well with the pattern in your neutral fabric.
Lately I have been seeing a lot of Hunter Star quilts made in more than just the two colors.
I love the hunter's star. This is going to be beautiful!
Very Nice PQ. It's very pretty.
This is usually just a 2-color quilt, mostly solids, so perhaps my using a print for the neutral and the different colors makes the hunter's star harder to see.
Really nice! I see arrowheads, but when I look for the Hunter's Star, I can see it.
